Coaching Philosophy
Having a veteran to the game of basketball in your court is one thing, but having internalized international playing and coaching intellect is pure advantage. Embracing the global perspective on the evolution of any sport is a must if athletes, coaches or organizations wish to apply cutting edge transitions, strategies and philosophies to their repertoire. Sport evolves, so must your game.
My name is Todd Kozinka and I’d not only like to introduce you to myself, but I’d like to introduce you to Cavit Altunay, Modular Basketball and The World’s Best Basketball Camp. World’s Best Basketball is offering a system of coaching, training and playing that will not only alter your capacity to move ahead in the game, it will become the game of basketball.
With an emphasis on a rigorous offensive press, creating space with the forward shooter, owning the offensive rebound with proper pivot positioning, The Big Step and destroying the fast break, Modular Basketball will empower the offensive game. Modular basketball is a time and energy saving system. I am convinced this approach will alter the way you think, play, live and breathe basketball.
Why Turkey? I am a firm believer that sport brings people together. We live in challenging times, but any era could be defined by its challenges. The difference today is that like no other time in human history have we harnessed such an immediate, direct and empowering potential to make great change. Bringing athletes together through sport brings people together. Visions are shared, belief systems communicated and understandings bridged. It is from this synergy of thought, heart and intention that greatness is born.
Sport is one of the rare platforms that can create the conditions for open exchange and tap a mainline to global promise. World’s Best Basketball wants to showcase this promise and help usher in a new age of global understanding, appreciation, respect, excellence and communication. We hope you join us in Turkey, the center of the world of basketball in 2010, and help us bring the best of basketball to the world.
